NJCU RN-BSN Anyone in this program

U.S.A. New Jersey

Hi Everyone!

I just got accepted into this program and I start in the fall. I was looking for anyone either in the program or about to start. I don't know much about it yet and plan to meet with someone in the nursing department. In the meantime if anyone has anything they would like to share about the program I would appreciate.

I would like to know how are the professors, how many times a week do you meet, how long does it take to graduate, are clinicals required, are any of the classes online or are they all classroom.... Anything will be helpful.

Thank you!

I am!

The program is designed for full time working RNs. The courses are setup to be one day a week/ online up until the community portion where you will have to take up your own time on different days.

I am about halfway done with the program and so far every course has been nothing but papers and projects. No major tests to worry about... Professors for the most part are okay. One we had a little trouble with but the entire class ended up with an A.

As far as how long the program takes, it can be as short as 1 year and a half depending on if you want to push through it and take as much as you can at once. However, you can spread it out longer if you wish.

Thanks for your response! I went to the nursing office and they gave me a brochure that shows how the program can be finished in a little over a year. It will take me longer. I will be taking a few classes at a time.

Roughly how many papers would you say you write per class? And about how many pages? Am not a big fun of writing papers but I know they are required so I guess am just trying to prepare myself mentally.:-)

Congrats on being halfway done!
