Published

I recently got accepted to Muglenberg School of Nursing in Plainfield, NJ for the upcoming Spring 2013 semester. Did anyone else get accepted?

If so, I'll see you guys on January 10th for Spring 2013 student orientation. :)

Hopefully I won't be the youngest person (18) or only male.

Hi Joel,

I think I remember you, We took the TEAS V at the same college. I also got accepted to Muhlenberg for the upcoming Spring 2013 semester and I am excited!

THAT'S AWESOME! Congrats. How's your schedule like? I'm taking Pharmacology on W from 3:30-4:30, intro to nursing concepts on Thurs from 9am-12pm, and intro to nursing concepts tutorial on Thurs from 1:30-2:30pm. Have you taken A&P or Chemistry yet?

Hey Joel, Ive completed all prereqs except for Microbiology. This Spring I will be talking Nurm119 and pharmacology. Our intro to nursing class is at the same time on the same day.

That's awesome! I haven't completed any of the per-Reqs, I'll be doing them this semester. I'll see you at orientation!!!

Hi everyone! Congrats on all of your accomplishments, you must be so excited. I know it's hard to come out and say exactly what you got on everything but I really am trying to be realistic with myself IF I can get in. . I was just wondering if you could tell me your scores/classes you took your TEAS exam scores or any other tips. Thank you so much in advance for your help. Congratulations again!

hey! I feel really bad even asking you this and maybe you could message me privately. I have had a rough couple of months - I had to withdraw from a nursing program in NC and honestly it was heartbreaking. I am nervous about even getting accepted to Muhlenberg's school. . . I can tell u my grades and I was hoping to compare them to other people who were accepted - I might just do my LPN at this point if I feel like I can't get into this other school. Again - i'm so sorry for the long message, I love you.

Hi everyone, I'm currently applying for Muhlenberg's Fall 2013 semester and I'm super nervous I won't get in. I have a 3.5 GPA but I did mess up my first year of college before I got back on track. I know I'm capable of doing better and even considering applying for the pathways to BSN track but I'm just so scared. Can anyone tell me how they did on the TEAS and what it was like for them to apply? I could use the consolation!

Joel -

Congrats on your acceptance!! I'm in Nursing 3 @ Muhlenberg, I can assure you that you won't be the only guy there. Our class has about 10 guys out of 45-50. I'm not sure on the age, but our class is pretty diverse in terms of young to middle age. It's a great school, very demanding and challenging classes -- but worth it!

I'm using my phone to type this so bare with me. If I got into this program I'm pretty sure anyone, who's determined and works hard for it, can get in.

I didn't take any college courses before applying to Muhlenberg. I was a senior straight out of High School with a 3.5 GPA. The last science class I took was in 10th grade which meant I had to basically teach myself A&P in a matter of a week in order to take the TEAS exam and make the deadline for spring 2013 semester. I also had to brush up on chemistry. (I didn't have to brush up on math since it comes easy to me and I never had difficulties with it)

My TEAS scores weren't great, considering I never took A&P and only had a week to study. (I used the Princeton Review) I actually think I did horrible and wasn't expecting to get in but I did.

When I applied to Muhlenberg my GPA from UCC was a 3.5. All of my pre reqs are done except for Micro. A&P1- A . A&P2- B Chem 105-A. I took the Teas V and didnt do as well as I thought i should but passed by the schools cut off. Applying was a long, drawn out process consisting of a$75 application fee, an essay, 3 letters of reference, high school transcript, and previous college transcripts. Upon acceptance to the college, you have to pay a $150 " acceptance fee". Good luck
