Muhlenberg School of Nursing- How long did you wait?

So I have my app in and my TEAS scores just came back yesterday. I applied for the fall of 2011 term to start the accelerated program in January 2012.

My question is: how long does this school normally take to get back to people? I have tried looking around at different threads but I have not found a recent one with a similar question/answer.

Separate question: who else here applied for Muhlenberg and how did you guys do on the TEAS? I scored in the 90% percentile of higher for reading, math, and english lang, but only in the 86th percentile for critical thinking (had to take that one cold; didn't seem to be any study material for it).

@ sdeme1229: I was thinking that because I did well on two sections and not what they wanted for the other two. But if I have to do the two year generic I would prefer to do the bsn at kean that they have. Why wait every semester to take a nursing clinical for the next two years. So I am going to ask them about the bsn pathway while Im at it. I called but Norma is not in today and I dont know who else to talk to. It also says on the letter the the director of registration will review the courses on the transcripts as well, and an updated transcript for the fall 2011 will be needed. How did you do on your teas exams. Did they put on your paper that you are accelerated eligible?

I also got the check list for the generic. I am taking my micro and chem right now so that wouldn't come up on my transcript so I'm going to call them as well. I scored well within accepted range on the teas in everything except math. So I dont know if that will hold me back. Keep me updated and I'll do the same! Best of luck.

Hi.. I have applied to attend Muhlenberg BSN pathway Spring 2013. I took Teas V this past friday and scored well in all areas, except on grammar section where I scored 70%? I received a notice stating a 75% score is required for Math, reading and grammar and 68% for science. Are these scores etched in stone? Would anyone know if I will be required to retake this test just so to improve the grammar score? Golly, I would be concerned, especially since the science section is so unpredictable... Any thoughts? I can just foresee chasing my tail - especially if I do well on grammar next time and perhaps drop elsewhere!! Ugh

Hi there. When I applied to Muhlenberg, I scored in the 90th percentile in everything except the Math section. For Math I received a 70% and I had not gotten into their BSN program. I am in my second semester in the generic program and am considering taking my BSN courses. When I met with the dean, she said that if you are looking to get your MSN, it does not pay to do BSN Pathways. If you have your bachelor's degree already, then you can go right to from your ADN to MSN. Many hospitals pay a large percentage of your tuition to further your education. You can also take the TEAS again if you want.

If you have any other questions, let me know!

Best of Luck.

Thank you, so much for this. I decided not to retake the Teas.. and, now I wait... Exciting times! I must say, I am enjoying a bit of 'down-time' - feels good. Again, Thank you.

Yeah I definitely understand! I am enjoying my down time as well. If you're taking just the NURM 119 next semester then it will be a breeze if you have all your prereqs. If you have any questions you can contact me! Good luck :)
