  1. Hey the schedule for 119 is only one day a week. I think its usually either 9-12 or 1-3. I am not 100% sure though, I haven't taken the class in almost two years. The work load will not be that much in 119. The information is basic. More therapeutic communication and that sort of stuff. Buy a fundamentals NCLEX book to get used to how the nursing questions will be worded because they can be tricky. Also, the school barely ever returns calls so my suggestion is that if you ever have a question to either email or just drive right to the school to ask. Good luck! :)
  2. Thanks for the advice! As of now I am reading my text book writing notes from there, then I listen to my lectures and highlight the important facts and add anything that wasn't in my notes. After that, I read over my notes every day and the week before the test I do questions from the nclexpn books because I heard they are more helpful for the first and second clinical. It's just hard because my school doesn't explain any interventions so I can't see the whole picture. The nclex books do explain some rationales but I wasn't sure if there was anything better to use. I also have the test success book by nugent. I definitely going to look into the book you suggested. Thanks so much!
  3. Hello all! I wanted to know if anyone had good tips on the best way to study. My school focuses all on the physiology but doesn't discuss the appropriate nursing intervention associated with the abnormality that is studied. I feel like I know everything discussed in class but when it's time to take the test, I get the answer wrong. Does anyone know of any intervention books or helpful study guides? Any feedback would be great! I use the nclex books to study and I record my lectures.
  4. Yeah I definitely understand! I am enjoying my down time as well. If you're taking just the NURM 119 next semester then it will be a breeze if you have all your prereqs. If you have any questions you can contact me! Good luck :)
  5. Hi there. When I applied to Muhlenberg, I scored in the 90th percentile in everything except the Math section. For Math I received a 70% and I had not gotten into their BSN program. I am in my second semester in the generic program and am considering taking my BSN courses. When I met with the dean, she said that if you are looking to get your MSN, it does not pay to do BSN Pathways. If you have your bachelor's degree already, then you can go right to from your ADN to MSN. Many hospitals pay a large percentage of your tuition to further your education. You can also take the TEAS again if you want. If you have any other questions, let me know! Best of Luck.
  6. I also got the check list for the generic. I am taking my micro and chem right now so that wouldn't come up on my transcript so I'm going to call them as well. I scored well within accepted range on the teas in everything except math. So I dont know if that will hold me back. Keep me updated and I'll do the same! Best of luck.
  7. I think, if I am not mistaken, if you apply for the accelerated program and you don't get in, they automatically place you in the generic. But I would double check with them. Good luck!
  8. Hello all! I am applying for their 1 yr accelerated program. What do you need to score on the TEAS? Do they look at your adjusted individual school, or your precentile?
