I have to pay my loan off in 2009, however. I am looking for a job in NJ or PA that will pay it off or have a sign on bonus.

Does anyone know of any hospitals or agencies that offer this?

pretty sure cooper has one...upenn gives you 10,000 if youwork there 4 yrs. (1000 after first year, 2000 and year 2 etc)

Specializes in Respiratory Care/Step-down.

Signing bonus should not be your main criteria. You won't find one at the hospitals that keep there nurses or pay well for the most part. Look at the long term prospects for the job, because that signing bonus won't make up for an awful Nurse to patient ratio, poor management, poor pay over the long haul or having to go through a war zone to get to work.

Specializes in ER/EHR Trainer.

I am fairly sure that Chilton Memorial has a sign on bonus, however, be careful what you choose as your first job. I would suggest seeing what type of orientation program would be offered, what type of support you can expect and if it's a good fit. You can always work O/T to make up extra money. Also, I was advised by my former professors that northern nj has pretty much dried up for new grads-along the coast and south jersey still has big needs. Anyway, good luck in your new career.
