Hello. Im in Essex County and would LOVE to go to nursing school. I have no clue where Id start or how to start. I dont even know if Id be going for RN, LPN? If I got to pick Id love to be a L&D nurse, but I really just want to be a nurse.

You will go on for the RN when your ready. I was an LPN for 8 + years and I finally decided the time was right and did the BS also, which really surprised me I always said I would not go on. :lol2:

Doesn't Mountainside Hospital still offer a nursing program. I know the hospital has issues, but I know someone who graduated from their nursing program, and she loved it.

Just a suggestion, I applied to a hospital based program in Bergen County (Holy Name) and was accepted with no college, no SAT score, and I have been out of school for quite a few years. However, it is a bit more money than a community college (which is why I hope I got into Bergen CC)
