Hello All!

I have been accepted to CHSON class of 2016! Wanted to know if there was anyone out there that was accepted also! It's time to earn my stripes and I am more than ready to get in there!! :bookworm:

I got my acceptance letter for Fall 2015!

Hello all. I know this is an old forum, but figured this would be a good start, just in case any of you are still active on this website. Anyway, trying to reach out to anyone who is currently a Carepoint Health student or anyone who will be starting Fall 2015. I was accepted to this school a month ago. And got my letter from Holy Name Hospital SON as well. I'm a bit torn, and I'm trying to weigh in the pros and cons of each program. For the students who are currently attending Carepoint, how do you like the program? What would you say are some highlights of this program, and what were some challenges you encountered? How is the class schedule? When are the nursing courses scheduled for? First thing or in the middle of the day ?was it difficult to schedule your college classes around the nursing course? I do plan to reach out to the Carepoint to gather as much information as possible but i figured I'd get true answers here :)

Yay! Me too :)

I am in my second semester at CarePoint.

So far, I love it, but like all schools, it is not without its weaknesses. There is a bit of disorganization. They are in the process of being re-accredited, so they're throwing the "latest in educational research" our way to ensure that we pass and their numbers look good.

It's a solid program, though. Most of the teachers and clinical instructors are amazing. The administration is incredibly approachable. The classes are like a big family.

If you are in the day division you will start in 110 with one day of lecture and two days of clinical. Tests are given on Mondays (sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening). The schedule gets longer as you advance in the program.

It is possible to work other classes around the nursing course, but you will be taking on a lot. People do it all of the time, though. You just need to have good time management skills and stay on top of everything.

I don't know anything about Holy Name, so I can't make any direct comparisons.

Good luck with whatever you decide!!

Thank you for responding. I actually already Sent my $100 to save a spot a couple weeks ago. I suppose I was looking for reassurance, after finding out I have options, heh. I really am interested in Carepoint. The only thing that's unfortunate is the travel. Holy Name is within 15 min while Carepoint is 40. Distance won't be an issue as long as I'm confident the school has a solid program. As far as college courses, thankfully by the time Fall comes, I'll only have to take college success, intro to computers, speech and cultures/values, so I can focus more time on the nursing courses. But anyway, thank you again :)

Hi! I was hoping someone could help as to I just submitted my application and was wondering how the entrance exam and also how long does it take for your application to be processed? Also, should I be waiting for them to send me the dates for the test or should I be doing it on my own? I'm hoping to get into fall 2015. I finished my prereq's back on 2013 but had a hard time trying to get to the nursing school with my job and everything that was going on. Now I'm trying my hardest to get started again since I am not working at the moment. Help!

hello, I just graduated from Carepoint nursing school. if you guys need any tips, . just let me know!

Hello

i know this is an old post but I was wondering what all the students who got accepted to this program had as far as GPA, sat score, NLN score, and grade for chemistry course taken.

Also, were you already in the medical field when you applied. Did you have a bachelors degree already? Did you complete all the pre/corequisite courses needed for the program before applying?

thanks!

Me too! I'm part of the evening class. :)

Hello I recently took the pre- entrance exam for RN and I was wondering what is the the passing score for getting accepted in the school.

There ARE % correct, RN PERCENTILE RANK, AND COMPOSITE SCORES. Which one of these I need to look at. Thank you
