U.S.A. New Jersey

Does anyone know if RN student (almost done with my 3 semester) can sit for LPN examination in NJ?

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

No you cannot. In NJ only those who completed a practical nursing program are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN. RN students are ineligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN in NJ as the programs are not interchangeable. Most RN programs do not cover adult, pedi, mental health, geriatrics, and OB/maternal child in the first year of the program but the education is split over the full two years of the ASN or four years of the BSN program. "45:11-27. Practical nursing a. Qualifications of applicants.
