Any LPN Go To Brookdale To Complete Their RN?!

I'm thinking about becoming an LPN and then becoming an RN through Brookdale. I see in the booklet I need Psych 106 (have it) and would also need Bio 111 (don't but will try and knock out this summer) and was curious if I still needed all the other pre-req courses i.e. APII, Micro, etc.?1 It doesn't appear that I would, but wanted to be sure. Also, did any of you choose to test out of 162?! Was it hard to do after finishing the LPN program?! How are the tests?! It strikes me odd that you would need them if licensed by the state. Overkill or is this the norm?!

I know an LPN who got her RN through Brookdale approx. a year ago and if i'm not mistaken, I believe that she had to take Bio 111,112, and Micro. But there was some sort of challenge program for LPNs so it didn't take her as long.

I did my sciences at Brookdale and did biol 111 in the 10 week summer session and micro in another 10 week session. It was hard but worth it in the end b/c I did not have to do it over a full semester. I did not get my RN from Brookdale, but I transfered my sciences to a BSN program in north NJ and will be graduating in May. Good Luck.

Thanks Sunny. I'm going to call them and try and get some info. I'm going to try and knock out API over the summer in a 10 week course. I'd rather be tortured for 10 weeks than 16 weeks too. ;)
