Did anybody here every get an accelerated bsn from njcu in jersey city? If so can you share the cost of the program? Also how competative is it to get in? If my undergrad GPA is a 2.7 but my prerequisite GPA is very high do you think I have a chance? Are classes offered on a daytime basis Monday to Friday?

Hello All,

I am applying to NJCU for fall of 2009 and i am currently taking the Science Pre-reqs... I am curious if anyone who is taking it now or took it b4 what their schedule during the week was like? 8-5? mon-fri? Is it a break between semesters, i am just curious so I can plan the next two years (this is based on being accepted into the program 09) also, how many pages did the admissions essay have to be?

Do you apply and then take the HESI exam? Also on the website it doesnt say Chemistry is one of the Pre-Requisits... is this true?

Hi,

I'm applying to NJCU accelerated BSN for fall 2009 also. Did you take all of your pre-reqs already? I sent my application 2 weeks ago but I don't have Dev Psych. and Statistics. I'm taking them in the summer and I was curious if anybody knows whether they will accept that or I need to have everything complete before applying:icon_roll.

Hey there,

Yes I am finishing up Micro in two weeks and applied mid february. Did they tell you to take the Hesi exam before may 29th? That was the only indication I recieved that let me know atleast they received my application.

I signed up for the admissions exam and will be taking that on may 14th.

yes u can apply for the fall programme as long as u complete the preq by the end of the previous session i.e summer since the new session for the pog starts fall. Hope this helps.

No, I haven't heard from them at all. I sent my application 2 weeks ago and I know they have received it because I sent it with delivery conformation, but they haven't even cashed my app. fee check yet:o. How did you apply, with paper application or online? I sent paper; I hope they haven't lost it. I'm taking HESI on may 21-st, I sign up for it without even knowing whether they will review my application by then. Thanks for the reply...keep me posted:up:

Hi onyxng77...so what you're saying is that I have a chance to be admitted without having a final grade for those two pre-reqs OR I can apply but I can't be admitted before I have a final grade for all of my prerequisites?!:bugeyes:

Hey, Yeah i saw that they cashed my check recently, last week actually. They sent an email saying I had to take the HESI before the 29th and where to register for it etc. I am taking it on the 14th, incase I dont do too well I have enough time to take it a 2nd I guess... Not sure what to expect!

Hey again...actually I just opened my online statement and I saw that they cashed mine too:yeah:...one less thing to worry about. Did you buy the study guide for HESI? I did and seems like the test is not hard at all. I'll review carefully all the sections just to be on the safe side...I didn't know you can retake it if you don't like the score...that's great:D
