  1. Mercermom, Just this week I came across an ad from Atlanticare in Egg Harbor, they are looking for RN for Informatics job.
  2. Maureen, It takes a week or two for advisors to add your last exam's grade to the transcript, untill then you have to wait, but while waiting, call EC and ask for CPNE study guide tyo be sent to you, also schedule a doctor appointment to get your health status report completed. Good luck!
  3. Mercermom, Check-out VNS in New york, they are right outside of Penn Station. I got a call from them for a Mainframe Systems analyst position few years ago, when I only had my LPN
  4. Coffee2008, I graduated from Mercer vocational school, there is anouther one in Neptine (monmouth county votec) Good luck
  5. Congratulations!!!!!!!:yeah:
  6. Just completed Excelsior ADN with 3.16. ( when I was admitted to Excelsior with my transfer credits from the prior life it was 3.73)
  7. Lisa, You think as I think!
  8. You will have to go thru Excelsior college no matter what ... The college network will only supply you with study guides that will help you prepare for Excelsior college exams. For example, if for a specific exam you have to read matherial from 3 textbooks of 500 pages each, college network have all the info condensed into 200 pages, which is good for you as you will have to spend less time reading. You will not need to identify which info is relevant for you in textbooks, as College network have already done it in their study guides. My point is that College network do create good study guides, they just overpriced and you can get them on Ebay without spending a fortune. But remember, COLLEGE NETWORK DOESNT GIVE COLLEGE DEGREE, ONLY EXCELSIOR DOES. Before you start any program, you have to assess yourself if you can study independently with no deadlines, no one will tell you that "you have to study now". I have seen so many people drop-out because they can't do a distance learning Good luck!
  9. Congratulations!!!!!!!!
  10. Alicia, I don't think I would have passed without them. First of all, they put things in perspective. Even after reading the CPNE book several times, watching EC video and reading other people experience on the web, I wasn't quite sure what to expect on CPNE. Chancellors tought me "THE GRID" which is an easy way (yeah, I know, nothing is easy about CPNE) to make sure you get all CE completed. They helped me to find some confidence in myself and trust me, after you practice grid in the lab and at home, as well as in hotel during chancellors lab and you get used to it. CPNE for me was a breeze. Good luck to you and most important, dont forget to breathe!
  11. I had about 5 pharm questions and probably 3 of them were asking side effects. Of course, I have never heard of those meds and can only guess.
  12. I found-out today that I failed NCLEX. Does anyone know how long it takes to apply again, how long does it take to get the "fail" package from the NJ board? Thanks
  13. Totally agree with you. I have used study guides as old as 10 years old and did just fine.
  14. Rue and Chancellors put out good study guides, but you can always get them on Ebay without signing a costly contract with the publishing company.
  15. I'll be starting it this fall
