RN programs

U.S.A. New Hampshire

Hey everyone,

I am about to start my sophomore year at college as a psychology major, I got my LNA at 17 in order to help me decided if geriatric psych was where I wanted to go with my life. After some serious soul searching I've decided that I want to work on the clinical side of geriatric psych not the research side... unfortunately that means being a psychology major will just make the process longer.

I'm considering leaving college and applying to nursing programs, I've emailed Rivier to set up an appointment with their admissions office because a lot of my general requirements would transfer there, but if that doesn't work out I wanted to hear what you guys though about other programs in the state.

I'll have to wait to apply for the 2011 school year because I'm pretty sure I came to realize being an RN was for me a little too late to be considered for this year.

Thank you so much!

Yes, it is a little late for this year. We found out back in March if we were accepted, or not, for this year. This is a link to the officail list of accredited programs in NH. They all have websites of the schools where you can see the program requirments. Di you want to get your and or bsn to start?

i'm not sure which program i'd prefer, i mean when i think practically it might be nice to be able to start working sooner and then do an rn to bsn program later on. i just don't really know where to look at. i've seen the list on the nursing boards website i'm interested in what programs other people took and how they felt about them

I'm attending St. josephs school of Nursing this fall for an LPN program but they also offer an RN program. It's a very small school but I'm definitely excited to start. Its a pretty easy admissions process, you send in an application and take the TEAS exam. Once you take the TEAS you will figure out whether or not you got accepted, I got my acceptance letter five days after taking the exam. You'll set up an interview with the school after that where you'll take a math test!

here's the website if you'd like to check the school out:
