So who is applying for nursing school this year? And where are you applying?

I am applying to Concord Tech, Manchester Community(if they ever stop fighting with me) and Great Bay.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!:)

well rejected from MCC. now its just a wait for NHTI, and trying to figure out my options. :crying2:

Just got my acceptance letter from NHTI!

I got put on the wait list for Manchester :) Funny that this made my day.

I just got my letter and im in to MCC, I cant believe it was in my mail box all day the one day i didnt get out there till night!! Good luck everyone else, ashley what number did you get on the wait list?? I know many students move right on up the list...youll be in my thoughts!

I probably should change my screen name...Ashley is my daughter :) My name is Julie. I don't know what number I am on the list. Was going to email Jacquie tomorrow to ask where I am. Are you currently going to MCC?

I dont think my last post showed up...so if it did sorry to post twice! Anyways I am a MCC student and was previouslt a nashua student, Julie did you get any info on orientation? Email jaquie, se will get back to you fast and tell you what number you are. Our deposit has to be in on the 26th so you wont have to wait that long to see if you moved up. I thin just getting on the waiting list gives you amazing odds on getting in! Good luck!

Congratulations on getting in to MCC :) Looks like we may be going together if I'm not too far on the wait list. Would you happen to know where the clinicals are held? I know one of the hospitals is Parkland in Derry. My sister used to work there.

It would be nice to know someone in the program thats for sure! The school has so many clinical sites, the first semesters are mostly held at nursing homes and the vna, because its more LNA line work taught in nurs111...once we get into hospital specialties they use most of the hospitals in the area. I am not a far of Parkland but they use CMC, elliot, southern ect

Looks like I'll be doing some traveling if I get in. I live in Hampton so they will all be at least a half hour or more away. I'm feeling really positive about getting in even though I'm on the wait list. I emailed Jacquie last night so hopefully I'll hear from her on Monday as to where I am on the list. I'll be glad when this part is all over :)

well the way the classes have been running for the past few years it seems like you can get the 1st semester classes in 3 days, last year and the year before it was lecture mondays 9 to 11:55 and thursdays 8:30 to 11:30, then there is a prelab on mondays 12:30 to 2:30, then you can choose between 6 different 3 hour labs (which you could do after thursday lecture) the you choose an 8 hour clinical. So if you took your lab on the same day as lecture you would only have to travel 3 times a week, which is cool right? :) You should feel positive about getting in because some people who get accepted to mmc already have gotten accepted to other schools and wont take the palce at mmc, plus as i recall your comp nln score was 126 which is only one point lower then mine, and you said all your classes were completed and so are mine, so if i got in and your so close to my "stats" you must me way up there on the list!!

I hope I'm not far on the list. I'll find out tomorrow.

It will be nice to "know" someone before classes start :). Your encouragement has been just what I've needed so thank you :)

That sounds great to only have to do classes in 3 days. I'm hoping to be able to still work a few days a week to keep my life semi normal. I hate to rack up student loans but I want to make sure I have enough study time. I've been working all along this past year and taking classes but I don't think I'll be able to pull it off with Nursing.

Yeah I'm a little nervous aswell. I am a stay at home mother of a 2 and 4 year old right now. We have been able to get by with me staying home, or by being a nanny here and there. However, i will have to put them in daycare well im in school, so im going to need to pick up a part time job to cover the difference. i took the phlebotomy class but havent heard back from any job offers yet. I am a good student and have amazing drive to get through this program, so i feel pretty good. My phlebotomy class was on saturdays and I see so many groups of people studying nursing in the cafe while im there. The program seems wonderful and I think we will all rally around to help and learn from eachother. I can't wait to hear what number you are!!
