U.S.A. Nevada

Hi,

I'm new here and was reading up on USN, just out of curiosity, has anyone ever been denied of acceptance to USN? Do they usually accept all students? Any info is greatly appreciated.

This information is according to an email I received on October 5th:

Your application will not be reviewed for admission until they receive your official transcripts and an official copy of your TEAS, as well as documentation of any coursework in progress. Apparently there are 26 seats available @ Henderson campus, and offers of admission were/will be made in the following order:

Total Score of 80% or higher - Offers of admission sent out beginning of October

75%-79% - late October (if seats are still available)

70-74% - mid-November (if seats are still available)

65-69% - beginning of December (if seats are still available)

less than 64% - may not be offered admission

If you email them, they should be able to tell you what your final score was after your interview and as long as they have received the proper documentation. Good luck!

Hey guys!! I got in about 3 weeks ago. It took me about 2 weeks to hear back, so i am guessing my score fell into the 80+ range. Do not be scared. I believe that once you had an interview, and it went okay, you are IN. I know several other people waiting to hear back. If you have any questions, feel free to reply private msg me. i am currently looking for a roomie or two other roomies. If anyone who is in (or still anticipating an answer) is interested, let me know! I am here for any questions, like I said. Yay to the Future class of July 2012!!

Inspiration,

Are you in the 14-month ABSN program or the 18-month program?

Hello I am applying to the University of Southern Nevada Nursing for July start date. I received a 80% on my TEAS test and I have a 3.4 GPA. I am wondering if you think I should retake the TEAS test? What is the average GPA and TEAS test grades for the people that have been accepted already. Also what are some apartments close to the school that are safe. I live in Minnesota now and really want to move.

Hi Nicki... No, you don't have to retake your TEAS test. I'm pretty sure you'll get in. As long as you pass your TEAS test and you have a good GPA, which you do, you'll get in. Good luck!

As far as the apartments go, I'm not too sure. You can give the office a call and they'll give you all the information you need concerning the apartments :)

Hi Guys... I am going to apply to the July start for the 14 month program. I just got my results back from my TEAS and I got a 73%. My GPA is around a 3.4 too. I was wondering if you think I should retake the TEAS. Also what are some sample interview questions they ask? How long after your interview do you find out if your accepted? Also, what do you think about the school. Do you trust them?

Will other regional University's accept USN's BSN in order to get into a MS or DNP graduate program? I plan to go on to become a NP. I don't want to waste my time getting an BSN if I can't go further with it.

Thanks

Hi Everyone...I applied for Fall of 2011, and have an interview next week. Can anyone give me some insight about the questions they will be asking and how you answered them? Also, how difficult is it to get a 90% on everything? Do you all live by yourselves or have roommates? I know I have lots of questions, but figured you would all know best. Oh, and I'm coming from California =)
