U.S.A. Nevada

Does anyone have any idea when they will or if they have begun sending out the acceptance letters for the Fall? Its crazy to me that they wait so long to tell you. Makes it hard to plan!

Yay night shift :0)

I have called TMCC's science dept as well as Nursing dept so many times I'm almost ashamed to continue badgering them haha. If anyone hears when letters are mailed it'd be super duper if you could let us all know on here :0)

No news yet but the good news is that we are all one day closer to knowing...right??:yeah:

Shoot....lets all offer to help them sort through the applications if it'll speed up the process!!! I'd volunteer :jester:

anyone have voice altering software? Perhaps a fake accent?

Its called *67!! LOL

Ahhh...that makes sense. I actually heard that Apollo/Carrington is beginning to enjoy a bit of a waiting list themselves, although I have never really looked into it.

Yes...I applied there as well for a backup....Its VERY expensive and I would have to repeat alot of my basic classes like english and psychology because they are so old. But I would still be done 6 months sooner than if I only get into TMCC in the spring rather than the fall...so when I consider the out of work factor...and all the financial aid that I qualify for it may be something I really had to consider. Hopefully I will get in for Fall and I wont have to make any hard decisions. I have a friend at Carrington who has good things to say but she didnt have any prereqs. There entrance is based on their HESI which was very easy compared to TMCCs...well it just didnt have any science on it. I got a 98 on that one as opposed to a 92 on TMCCs.

They have over 100 that go to orientation, they take the entrance exam and supposedly take the top 32, but even low scores get accepted because not everyone can get the loans/financing- taking a loan out for over 40 grand is crazy, it's more like 70,000 once all the interest comes in to play - you will be paying for years!

Ya it is crazy but the loan process isnt all that bad...I am lucky in that if I had too, I could actually get it paid for without the interest so I really would be looking at a differnce of about 20k vs TMCC.....which then you have to weigh out the quicker ability to work assuming you are hired right out of school which every single graduate has both passed the NCLEX and been hired right out of school by pretty much either renown or st Marys.

It sounds scary, but you have kids and have to get to work! In the end we will all be nurses in a few years probably even colleagues!

I'm going to make one more phone call. . . .

There is always the:" I am going out of town...." lead in, I did that a while ago.
