Points for CSN nursing program?

U.S.A. Nevada

HI all! I am planning to apply for CSN's nursing program Spring 2009. I will have 26 points after I finish my A&P II class which I am currently taking. For those who are already in the program, do you think I have a pretty decent chance of getting in with 26pts? Thanks in advance! :)

I am also applying for the spring and just spoke to a counselor at the cheyenne campus. She told me that the part time program has a 45% acceptance rate, and they lowest points accepted was 25. The full time program has a 77% acceptance rate and the lowest points they accepted was 21 points. Hope this helps.

I spoke with an advisor last week. He told me they are accepting around 21 points average every year....so you will be just fine! I was surprised, I thought it would be much harder :)

I did to. I was hoping I would have enough for the part time program, but I only have 25 points, and I'm not willing to chance it. Did they go through the application process with you? When I went in there, I had a few ??'s I thought were basic, and all the lady could say was "I don't know". Do you know what we need for the application process??? I just want to make sure she gave me all the right info.

With 26 points, you'll do fine. :specs:I had 25 points and got accepted with no problems. I started off in full time but switched to part time because full time was a little too much for me. For application process, they'll send you a packet checklist that you need to complete and turn in. It's no biggie really. It just asks you questions about your grades and experience to help them determine how many points you'll get. Documentation is required of course (copy of transcripts, previous healthcare experience, or education).

Its not until you're actually accepted that you need to worry about getting everything together :banghead: (ie 2step tb, shot records, proof of varicella titer or immunization, cpr certification, proof of health insurance, drug screen, copy of your ID, and....I think that's it).

Good luck to you!! And when you get accepted, I would recommend signing up for a student mentor! They're students farther along in the program and they can really give you the support you need for getting through the rough beginning.

i got in with 19 points in spring 2007. 26 are really good points best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
