hello all!

i was just wondering, for those of you that are applying to csn's spring 2012 full time or part time rn program, when are you planning on turning in your packet?

i know the deadline isn't until sept 1,2011 but i am excited to get that acceptance letter :yeah:and i also just want the application off of my hands lol

thanks for any feedback happy nursing to all! :nurse:

So how was orientation today, anything exciting left to talk about? Did anyone else drop out of the program?

Specializes in Psych! maybe.....

I didn't drop out. But, I did notice that alternates were chosen. It makes me think that I should've gone to the 2nd orientation last semester....:crying2:

Nothing truly exciting to talk about. The results from the ati test didn't excite me. I'm not sure if that particular test helped me. Anyone else have any ideas after taking this exam? Did it help you?

I did forget to sign up for my advisement appointment for the 19th.......Is it possible to sign up by phone? And is there a deadline to sign up?

owell...too much stuffs to do, to think, and to stress...am just wondering hows the dosage calc---kindof depresssing if i failed it despite having spent lots of money for books and vaccination..owell...

I think we counted 9 people that didn't show up today :o So the 2 alternates that went got in. I would call ------ and ask about the adviser meeting.

Do you know if any of those were part time alternates that were chosen?

Ya I guess I should have gone to second orientation too. I was so sad at the first one that I decided to just move on and not think about it so I didn't put it on my calendar. I didn't want to take another entire day off work for nothing and I never got my vaccinations or took that two week course they offered so it's probably better this way...although now I am mad at myself. I was a part time alternate though so I guess there was probably a very small chance of getting chosen today.

I'm not sure if they were FT or PT

sunshine daisy? do u know hows the dosage calculation works that they usually do after the first 3 ace? so if you dont make the 90 percent you are out...they dont give any consideration? are they really hard questions...am scared!

It's 10 questions and yes, you have to get a 90% or above. It's the same stuff that was in tool box, if you took that. When you get your syllabus there are problems in there you can practice. They will also give you problems in Ace 2. If you don't pass the first test you get 1 make up test the following week. If you don't pass that one then you are out. You will get an email saying you failed and tell you what to do.

wow...and when you dont make it...usually what they say that you can do/ reapply after all those money spent-wow..scary.... on the second attempt, is it the same questions as the first one.... are there some who didnt make it to the next level after that dosage calculations..... thank u sunshine daisy for replying...am kindof worried.....

I was one of them! I was in last spring and failed because of the math. In the spring semester you have time to reapply. In the fall you miss the deadline and have to reapply for the next fall. I was stupid the first test and didn't read the questions all the way and missed 2. The second test, IMO, was a lot harder. You have 1 hr to do 10 questions. This last time I did the test 3 times and got the same answers so figured I was good and got all 10 right! Just take your time and do all the steps!

So questions ate mainly dosage..no pediatric nd no tUbing.. Wow.... Good u got in for the next term right away..am just scared coZ am konof crappy in math..am lazy to check answers if i am done am done. Idont get to review again..and if u dont get the assessment taking bps and u are out of the progrm to...too tough.... So the third time was same questions..do u get the answers for those mistakes u made? The second was harder...wow... Hope theyll make it eighty percent.....lol
