NCLEX-RN on 4/10!!! Last minute advice much appreciated!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Never thought this day would come but i will sit for the nclex rn on thursday at 8am!!! I will post my story when i receive my official results. No PVT for me . Anyways, i used Kaplan my scores are as followed:

Qbank cumulative score 61% (100% completed)

QT 4-7 scores; these scores are the most important according to my kaplan instructor.

My scores ranged from 47-60% for QT 1-3.

QT 4- 65

QT 5- 60

QT 6- 66

QT 7- 69

I know these scores are good but I'm not going to go in there even thinking about "#75". That will just throw me off. Im still devastatingly nervous. Just thinking about failing gets me teary eyed. Any last words?

Also can someone please explain why results get put on hold i keep hearing different things like if you finish too fast or "brain dumping"...What's that??

Just do not hurry...u have plenty of time...answer the questions one at a time...read it carefully and look what the question is asking...eliminate the wrong options so that u have only few choices...be there at the site 30 minutes earlier..eat a light meal..U CAN DO IT...When I was reviewing I only get 60-62% in Kaplan..you'll be fine

Thanks for your encouragement! Did you study at all two days before the exam I'm trying but I feel like I'm over it now...

relax the night before and if you are going to study the day before the test then study something that's not too taxing on the body like EKG strips or lab values

I just answered questions then read the rationales...but the day prior to exam...I just refresh my self with the normal values...like electrolytes..blood products...etc..don't stress yourself too much..I know it's easy to say than done..but if you think too much of it it will just make u more anxious..I mean the knowledge was there already...there's no question about that...just do some relaxation to calm your nerves...Claim it that after you walk out the door of that exam room..life will never be the same again for you because YOU ARE ALREADY AN RN:yes: I was thinking of that and it makes me feel so so great...how much more if you passed...Pray before you take the exam...Surrender all to God...and he will give you the desires of your heart...

It's been over 11 years since I have taken NCLEX but I used Kaplan and passed on first try. I think Kaplan prepared me well. Kaplan teaches you to answer questions the "NCLEX way" and not necessarily the way you might want to answer it. Remember this...it worked for me. Take your time reading each question and use the ear plugs (if they still provide them). I remember feeling like I could hear my tachycardic heart beating when I first started. I slowly read each question and eventually got into a groove. You will walk out feeling like you failed the exam...everyone feels that way, don't worry. Just remember, after you pass--you never have to take the exam again!

Thanks again everyone! I'm trying to remain calm by reading scriptures and meditating. Keep me in your prayers!

Prayers for you!! You can do it!! :-) Just try your best to remain calm and keep your mind off of the exam today. Try to get a good nights rest. Remember that there is no way to know EVERYTHING that is on the exam. Don't panic if you see a question you don't know. Take your time. Brain dumping is when you write everything you can think of all at once on the provided paper. Don't do that until after the tutorial, if you must do it.
