I can't lie, my studying had been sporadic and I have felt wayyy too comfortable with some material. However, I am reviewing my weak points from school, (metal health, OB, peds) and reviewing foundational information for them.

I've been about 60-70% accurate on my practice tests/questions, and I earned a 97% chance of passing NCLEX on the ATI predictor. I have a 3.2 GPA from nursing school.

I FEEL ready, but I am honestly terrified I'm about to walk in and make a fool of myself.

I have terrible test anxiety and my tutor from school said to take it easy and not over study in the days leading up to the test because it will only make me panic and freak out. I have taken 2 days off prior to the exam so I can "relax" but I feel as though I am making some big mistake by not studying more!

Should I reschedule for later and study more or just dive in and take my chances?

I don't think anyone ever feels ready for the dreaded NCLEX. It's entirely upto you if you want to reschedule, however, if you are still gonna feel the same in a few weeks - you should just go ahead and take it, it sounds like you are getting decent scores.

I'm not gonna lie, when you get the testing center and sit down you probably are gonna feel like you're gonna puke. Take a few minutes to compose yourself before you begin and even before questions if you need to.

Be aware that when you have the ear plugs in you can really hear your heart beat! This may add to your anxiety.

Thanks for the tip! Are the earplugs mandatory or do they just offer them to everyone? What happens for audio sounds on the exam??

I feel like my college did a great job preparing me but every time I start doing questions I do well for a few then start worrying about what the test will be like and how many questions I will have. (Anxiety sucks!)

I'm trying to relax, spend time with family, praying and enjoying a glass of wine with dinner. Smiling, positive self talk, and no more than 30 min blocks of reading material, and no more than 4 times a day, (so basically no more than 2 hours total).

I'm just getting more nervous that I haven't prepared enough. I hope I can come back and post that I passed on this first attempt! I don't care if I get all 265 questions as long as I PASS. Lol.

I feel like I am losing my mind, the nerves ate overwhelming!

I don't think they are mandatory. Most people use them so they don't hear everyone coming and going etc.

There is another set of headphones for audio.

Ok cool. I've taken exams with them before and prefer it, so I'm glad it's at least an option. :)

Thank you. Trying not to panic. Trying to relax my mind instead of overworking it. Taking a nap, lots of salmon, vitamin C, and green leafy veggies. Trying to continue healthy eating, no bad carbs before the test. My reward afterwards? Cake. Lots of cake. Lol

Well, took it, 76 questions and was begging for more to prove I was better! Got the good pop within 10 minutes of leaving testing center. Official results are: PASS.
