NCLEX ,PV Trick, 75 Qs Two Weeks of Review

I took the NCLEX yesterday and wanted to share my experience and talk about this popular Pearson Vue Trick since this forum has helped so much!

I studied on and off for two weeks using NCLEX Mastery app on my ipad and did about 1750 questions. What I found helpful was reading the rationales regardless if I got it right. The rationales will give you insight to what the questions are ACTUALLY asking vs. what you THINK it's asking and also why the other options are incorrect. You will absolutely find this helpful for the NCLEX because you can't possibly know every disease, every medication, and every step HOWEVER it will force you to critically think and come to a conclusion so you can move on to the next question. What you will take out of doing the practice exams is know how to PRIORITIZE, PREVENT FATAL outcomes, MANAGEMENT, INFECTION CONTROL etc. It is also helpful to know prefixes and suffixes. NCLEX is testing you on your ability to think critically. There were a two medications that I have never seen but because of studying the prefixes, I was able to make an educated guess.

This will vary from person to person but I had 75 questions and utilized 45 minutes. I had about 15 SATA, 2 medications, lots and lots of priority questions (lost count), a few management, rules and regulations, one order, four infection control.

Okay so now for the Pearson Vue Trick. For those who have not heard of it - it is a system loophole essentially that you can use to see if you passed or failed. After your exam, it is recommended that you wait at least two hours to try this trick: Go on to the Pearson Vue NCLEX registration site and register again by inputting in all your information, once you get to the credit card entry portion, you should use either a credit or debit card that has less than the amount needed to purchase the exam or input the wrong expiration date. NOW click submit. If you get a red alert saying you've already scheduled and cannot register again then you passed but if your card either went through or declined then you failed. ** I got the "good pop-up" and tried this three times: 2 hours after, 8 hours, and then the next day. Of course this is unofficial but I believe its reliable.

Note: You need to actually submit your credit or debit card for this to work meaning you need to attempt to make an actual purchase.

***** A friend from out of state failed twice and each time right after the exam she was able to register and on the third try it gave her the "good pop-up" saying she cant register and a week later she passed. ****
