Our class has been offered to purchase the Kaplan program for reviewing for the NCLEX. Is this a good program? They claim that you will pass the boards or refund your money. Is it worthwhile?

IMO Kaplan was definitely worth it. It gave me practice in answering NCLEX type questions, and IMO they were actually harder than the actual NCLEX questions. I definitely think it is a good investment.

It's worthwhile. They give you the strategy on how to approach questions, so you can pare down your answers. For example: a question asks what should you do if a patient does X? Then the answers are a combination of assessments and implementations. If you still need to assess (that is, if the stem of the question did not have any assessment info) you could toss out the implementation questions out and concentrate on the assessments (do they make sense?). They also go over Maslow's, the ABC's, and lots of priority questions. I think the Q Bank is one of the best parts. It gives you lots of practice answering the tougher NCLEX priority questions as well as the content questions.

I passed with 75 questions with Kaplan. I would recommend it.

Thanks, it is good to hear from people that have actually used the Kaplan!
