Nursing Students NCLEX

My tips:: I hope it helps. First off I will be to the point. When you take the exam please remember that it is illegal to discuss what was on the exam.

Things I did: Okay, I did Hurst live and online, I bought the newest Kaplan 2013-2014 book, I did prepu by Lww The Point, I brushed through another nclex book (I cannot remember the name), I did not study the day before exam except to refresh my mind over my brief note cards on lab values and signs/symptoms, I prayed a lot, I went in with the thought "I can do this and I will pass this." I know I over studied and that only lead to stress. I tried to stay positive and I took a week off of studying after graduation. I read the Pearson rules. I took the PVT afterwards. I prayed again.

I did not: Talk about the test afterwards as in what I had on it or who was there or if you needed to know this or that, etc. I did not fear failure because I could always take it again. I did not call or ask any classmates about their test qs or if they thght it was hard or easy. I left the testing center and went shopping and tried not to think about the count down to the 48 hr mark.

Remember to relax and don't over study because I have in the past and that did not help me in any way. Plus, you passed school with all the studying so just learn to take each question by question with a deep breath and read the stem and try to answer the question in your head before taking a look at the answers. Critically think about each question. I took my time and prepared to take the whole 265. Never prepare yourself thinking I will only have 75 bec that will only lead to anxiety if you pass that mark. Stay calm my friends. You all have been excellent on here and have supported me during this journey. Thank you. You all are wonderful people and everything stated above is with kindness and hopefully knowledge. Thank you again and best of luck to all of you.
