I Finally Passed It! TIPS!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Thank God to the Highest for helping me to pass the most difficult exam that i have ever encountered! I'm so happy when I tried the PVT and it didn't let me to the CC page.

I'll give y'all guys tips that i have used to pass it:

1.) Pray before you study, before you take practice test and before you take the NCLEX!

2.) NCSBN learning extension 5 weeks.

come to think of it. They made the exam so you might encounter some questions that they're giving in the actual exam.

3.) Hurst Review

If you're weak in core content you'll gonna love this review program! they don't have a lot practice questions but if HEARING is effective for your studying you'll gonna learn a lot from this.

4.) NCLEX 3500 and NCLEX

I love this CD. You can buy this online. Good for practicing NCLEX style questions especially for select all that apply type of questions! this CD will make you confident to conquer all type of NCLEX questions.

5.) Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment by LaCharity

It's saying by the title itself. This book is good for Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment especially for those internationally educated nurses like me. I came from the Philippines we dont have LPN and CNA at home so this will teach you how to DELEGATE stuff to you team!

6.) http://www.dosagehelp.com

Good for drug calculation if your weak in this kind of question.

7.) ECG in YOUTUBE.com "Easy EKG: Interpreting Rhythms"

He's good in explaining ECG. Trust me guys you need to study ECG.

Is it a lot?! Yes it's a lot! Actually I didn't list it all because some of the stuff is really basic like studying the lab values, anatomy, vaccinations, formulas, drugs, infection control, triage, etc. you really have to know 'em all because you really don't know what they'll throw at you. I failed it a lot of times so I know that every test is different. Trust in your instinct as a nurse, think like a nurse and be a nurse. Know your ABC and Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs!

Good luck to y'all, God bless! don't forget to pray to God!

This is helpful. Thank you so much and Congrats for passing it. I never heard the DLADA rule of 2 but i like it :)

Did you do Kaplan as well?

i didn't do kaplan but i have a kaplan book. the reason i don't and i can't recommend kaplan because im not impressed in how they do their questions. if your looking for something to be familiarize with nclex type of questions use NCLEX 4000 or NCLEX 3500.
