How to bounce back after failing

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my nclex on Thursday... I woke up passing a kidney stone at 4am that morning... But during the exam I was in a lot of pain... I rushed through the test, not taking any breaks because I just wanted to get done... It shut off at 235 and I still had 2 hours left on the time clock. I ended up in the hospital after the test.

when I checked the Pearson vue trick it let me register for another exam...

Its now sunday, my interim license has not been cut off yet, but I'm pretty positive I failed.

My my question is... How do I bounce back? I can't afford to take any of the prep classes like Kaplan. I bought the book, and prepped with on line practice quizzes. But I fear that's not enough. The longer I go without doing any hands on nursing the more I forget.

i need advice to get in the mindset to pass because right now I feel pretty defeated.

You are focusing too much on the negative. Forget about hands on experience, it will not help you pass the nclex. If you are worried about skills, as a new nurse there's a lot of things to learn and you'll be trained to do that.

As for retaking the nclex, use the resources you have. Use free nclex materials available to you ( like: Main Menu - NCLEX-RN 3500 - Institutional Version )

Don't give up hope and keep moving forward. Good luck!
