Help!! This will be my 4th time taking Nclex!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi guys, I just found out I failed the nclex for the 3rd time. It's such a bummer I keep feeling like I'm letting my daughter down. The past 2 times I've gotten 265 questions. I live in Indiana, so now they want me to take a remediation program. The problem is the remediation programs they want me to take I have taken in the past, and they haven't worked for me. I'm actually going to go to Ohio to take my test for the 4th time, so I'm not wasting money on these that haven't helped. My question for you guys is what has helped you. I'm taking a mini breather one more week off which will be a 3 week break. I'm at a loss right now I don't even know where to begin or what to study. I have used ATI, Kaplan, Saunders book, Uworld (which I'll use again), ncsbn. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

First take a deep breath. I didn't pass the 1st time I took the NCLEX. I have horrible test anxiety! Like need medication anxiety. That was my first step BTW was going to get something to help with that! I used Hurst and when I didn't pass I got a remediation with them. I looked over what areas I did bad in on my NCLEX summary and focused on those areas. I got the full load of questions the 2nd time and thought I was going to have a MI! But I got my note board they issued at the test center and used that to help think through the questions. I made quick notes of normals and "you always do something on the NCLEX, you never pass the buck or just evaluate " which I learned with Hurst. I passed the 2nd time doing all of that. I hope this helps some.
