Graduating on May 16, starting work on July 7... enough time?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi everyone,

I'm super nervous about not having enough time to get my ATT/NCLEX results.

I have a job starting on July 7, and between May 16 and then, I have to have already passed the boards, WITH my license in hand. Is there even enough time? I'm in Virginia, and have heard various amounts of time expected between graduating, and getting an ATT. I would hate to not be able to start work because of the time constraints... I'm doing my due diligence to prepare for the exam, and have my dream job waiting for me, but alas, I've read it can take a month plus for ATTs to go out. Is there anything I can do to make this process go quicker? Is it even possible?

Thanks!

If you have submitted all of the required documents then you should receive your ATT within a week or 2. Your issue will not be the BON but how fast your school processes and fowards transcripts/etc. Another issue you might face will be finding a local testing center with open dates within your short time span. I'm in N.Virginia and i had to either test in D.C. or Silver Springs, MD because the centers in my area had no open dates.

Thanks, Uncle Rico. But if I test in DC or Silver Springs, wouldn't those be for the DC/Maryland licenses?

No, you can test in any state/country you want to as long as you applied for licensure via your desired state. I tested in DC for my Virginia license and my roommate tested in Florida for her Nevada license.

Thank you so much! That makes me feel a little bit better... I don't care if I have to drive across the country (haha) so that's good to know :)
