Failed Exit HESI, but passed NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

Howdy y'all. I would always score less than average when taking hesi/nclex practice exams, whether it be on my own or administered by the nursing program. The Exit HESI was no exception. I had failed miserably below the average passing score and because of exit HESI being said to be a strong indicator of passing NCLEX, I was more so scared than ever. Three months after graduation and 1.5 months of studying, I finally sat for the dreadful exam (2 weeks ago). While it took me the entire 6 hours to finish 265 questions, I PASSED on the first try. In preparation for NCLEX-RN: I used HURST online review, drew out flow charts to all their lectures, and practice questions from LaCharity PDA.

So to those who are worried because they didn't do well on exit HESI or feeling hopeless waiting for the result after being thrown 265 questions, try to cheer up and remember that ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN :)

Best of luck!

Thank you! The only other practice questions I did were the Hurst Q-Reviews. I suggest to complete all 6 as each contains different questions. Additionally, what helped me a lot was drawing out flow charts to organize and retain the information from lectures. Good luck!!

Okay thank you! also do you think i can use those flow charts so i can retain the information?

Hi I didn't pass my hesi second try, but i can still take the NCLEX do you think that it will hurt me when I go for my RN with an 'incomplete' on my transcripts?
