Drug Book

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I am looking for reviews or suggestions from what people have used in the past for med review. Review that actually helps you remember things not by each individual drug, but by class, action, and specific side effects. I've read other, older posts that say it isn't worth it. Uhm, to me in this case it is for the follow reasons:

I am attending a career fair soon with massive nursing opportunities one in particular is critical care. Therefore, i am studying early in hopes to better my chances on the NCLEX.My spring break is more like NCLEX boot camp with ATI and Kaplan at the moment, but i lack a decent medication review.

But more importantly i want to be competent in meds on the floor. My mentor (not preceptor; shes a CCRN; +15 years experience; trauma and open heart cert) drills me on meds on the floor and I come up short at times when she asks specific actions, side effects, and contraindications. But then again she is one who reads disease pathology on her free time, yet is so lively and exciting. Which is why i like her-she's awesome. Anyhow i need a resource because i am knowledge hungry.

Anything out there that is by class? And be a good help for NCLEX?
