JOBS?

U.S.A. Missouri

Published

I just graduated nursing school in December. Recently got liscensed last month and have been applying everywhere. And I havent heard anything from anybody. Im getting worried I'll never find job. Is anybody else having trouble finding a job?

If you check the St. Louis County website and the MO state websites they usually have nursing positions available, I would probably try there first, then maybe just going into a community health center and asking if they have positions open might help.

I already had gotten the a letter about CIGNA also. But i thought it said they require exp. and wasnt it for case managemtn or something.

Do you know if Select specialty requires exp ? I have already been looking into them also. I havent heard of Dubius but ill check them out.

I went and tried to apply for Dubious. But it took me to St. Johns Website. I didnt see anything listed for Dubious on there.

What did you think of working for select?

I, too, have been attempting to get a job since Nov. I have applied to St. A and have had several interviews, all with rejections except one that I am still hoping to hear from, but am pesimestic about. I have literally applied to over 100 positions, had approximately 8 interviews, and still no job. Yes, it is time for me to look for a nursing home job to get some experience and an income, but it is very frustrating.

I understand. So much for this nursing shortage. What position are u waiting to hear from st. a. I had an interview with HR and havent heard back from them. This was yesterday. Were all your interviews through St. A? Or did you apply to other places too and have some interviews. I also applied to nursing homes. I was losing faith. I had an interview with Bethesda already and have one with Delmar Gardens Friday. I also have one with St. Lukes tomorrow. I hope I get a job. This unemployment thing sucks.

I graduated December 2011 and got my RN license in January......2 interviews at the hospital and no job.....no experience= FRUSTRATION. I even did my clinical rotation at the hospital that claimed they were trying to recruit new grads and they only hired 3 out a class of 27. I ended up going to the nursing home, as did many of my former classmates. It is really not so bad, I actually do quite a bit of the same work as I did at the hospital on the Med Surg floor because most of those patients were elderly. I actually like it, I work weekend option while I attend the RN-BSN bridge program full time.

I was hired at st. Alexius as a new grad. Work med-surg floor. Small hospital, not the greatest but I do like it. I work 7p to 7a and I know we were hiring for a night RN, haven't filled the position yet. Give it a try, we still need the help! Also a friend of mine works med-surge at St. Marys and she called the other day because they are in great need of RN's on 4 south or west? Don't remember but it was 4 something :) Just had a lot of nurses leave for varies reasons.

I applied to st. Alexius and never heard anything from them. I actually applied to that floor. Is there someone I can call to follow up? I'm trying to get a ms position but can't find a place that is hiring. I used to work at st Marys on 4w as a tech. They usually fill those positions through the.futures program. I tried to get a job there but I didn't get into futures.

I sent you a message but keep on them. Took me 2 months of calling. We are really short on 5 - only a handful of FT RN's on nights.
