Des Peres Hospital as a potential employer

Does anyone have any recent information/gossip, etc. about how Des Peres is to work for? I did a search through allnurses and haven't found much except for a discussion of their hefty sign-on bonus and that was well over a year old.

I'd welcome any more current info or knowledge!! This looking for a job is HARD work, lol!!!

I guess you already checked out their web-site. Seems they still have a hefty($10,000)sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment for Graduate Nurses.(Scroll down to the bottom).

I hope someone who works there, or has worked there responds. I'm curious about it as well!

Hi there luvs!!

Yeah, I perused their website the other day and have spoken to their recruiter at our health career fair, but there's nothing like the inside scoop. I really don't want to start working somewhere and find out it's a miserable working environment outside of the HR office!!

I spoke to an M.D. who's on staff there and he felt it was a good facility, but I just have to think his experience is a far cry from what the RN on the floor is dealing with.

I'm applying for a few specialty units where I'd really like to work, but am realistic enough to know that the competition is fierce. In case they don't work out, I'm applying for med/surg positions as a back up and to gain that ever-valuable experience.

Another semester almost gone -- bet YOU are happy!!

I actually was talking to a mother of a nurse who works there currently, and she says her daughter is pleased with her job. I didn't hear anything negative! Sounds like it's pretty good.
