Hello Everyone!

I am new to this awesome site!!!! I have been thinking about Chamberlain College. If anyone is attending this program and has info, I would love your input. Im very nervous about nursing school. I am 36 yrs. old, currently work at a dentist office, but was thinking about a job in a hospital setting. I have two children 17 & 9, and a very supportive husband. I am currently in A&P II, this is my last class to take before I have to make a school choice. Any input or words of advise from anyone would be terrific.

Paper1225,

I've heard a lot about getting in contact with the school and getting someone to return call and emails. I, luckily, haven't had that problem, yet. My advisor (Scott) returns all phone calls within 1 business day and I also emailed the dean and she replied to my emails the same day. Can you believe it?????

I'm glad you're doing so well. I will be PM'ing you :uhoh21: once I start the program. I just hope I can handle it. I know it is very fast paced. Oh well, we'll see.

At times, it can be frustrating getting in touch with admin. Be pushy!!! The school has grown tremendously and it is still having growing pains. Ann Raithel, the dean, is great about getting back to you quickly.

Ann Raithel has taken a new position with the school. I am an on campus senior. I will be done in August. A lot of folks do the online degree. You have to be very determined.

It can be a tough program at times, but it's worth it!

Anyone with questions about classes please ask me. The on campus classes are different from the online classes, but I'd love to hear from you!

Good Luck

What position does Ann Raithel have now?

Dr Ann has accepted a new position as Learning Resource Specialist. Her office is now on the 5th floor. I really don't know what exactly her new role is, but I read it in the student newsletter.
