  1. So true about what you put into your education! Recently, Dean LLoyd resigned from the college. I think that's a positive for the program. She was not an asset to the program. I hear the new instructors are good. The instructors I had were excellent. I think the issues lie within the administration & now that the dean is gone things should turn around. I received a call from one of the administrators. He wants to meet with me regarding my experience at the school. I'm meeting with him after the new year. I believe Chamberlain wants gain credibility. As far as the online program, you're right. I think that may be difficult. Good luck. Happy to help with anything, so e mail anytime.
  2. I started there when it was Deaconess. After it became Chamberlain, many changes took place. An entire new administration came in & things really went downhill. My suggestion would be to not seek education there. A lot of my professors left when the school changed to Chamberlain. I hear from many other students that have just started there that the professors now are not very good. Many of these professors came from Sanford Brown, which from my understanding is a terrible program. I was more than halfway through the program when the school became Chamberlain, so I stuck it out. I have a good friend who started recently & she is considering transferring to Barnes. I just feel that Chamberlain has really gone downhill in the last year. I would really consider another program. Hope this helps.
  3. Hello! I just recently finished my BSN on campus at Chamberlain. If anyone has any questions regarding the program, please contact me.
  4. Great! You can do this. Please keep in touch. I will too.
  5. It will be at least 4-6 weeks. I have sent all of my application info in to the state. Be prepared for the end. You have to get fingerprinted at a digital print place which costs $55.00. Then there is a two part application. The first part you have to send $200.00, this is to register you for boards; then the second part is for the actual license which is $45.00. But it's worth it. Focus baby focus! Barnes is a good school. If you can, try to get the BSN. If in the future you want to go back to school, then you don't have to mess with bridging to the BSN. You can start your master's right away. What do you need for Barnes GPA? Is there a test to take to enter? I'd be happy to help you. You can do this. Let me know. I am glad you are not messing with Chamberlain. Too much bad stuff going on with them right now.
  6. Nik Nik! Long time no talk! I just finished my BSN at Chamberlain. The school is messed up. New faculty instructors are horrible & the Dean is wicked. It changed to Chamberlain when I was halfway through my degree, so i stuck it out. But by the end of August when I was done, I was and still am very disappointed with their policies, administrators & faculty. Go somewhere else. Let me know how you are doing.
  7. Paper! I just completed my BSN from Chamberlain. I started when it was Deaconess. The last year was ROUGH! The school has a terrible reputation now. They make you take an exit exam that is out of this world hard. Get out if you can.
  8. Dr Ann has accepted a new position as Learning Resource Specialist. Her office is now on the 5th floor. I really don't know what exactly her new role is, but I read it in the student newsletter.
  9. Ann Raithel has taken a new position with the school. I am an on campus senior. I will be done in August. A lot of folks do the online degree. You have to be very determined. It can be a tough program at times, but it's worth it! Anyone with questions about classes please ask me. The on campus classes are different from the online classes, but I'd love to hear from you! Good Luck
