CCRN - Is Employer Notified If You Fail?

I am a long way off from taking the CCRN certification exam but I like planning for worst case scenarios. Does anyone know if AACN notifies your employer if you fail? I know they have employer info that they use to verify that you qualify for sitting for the exam but I don't know if they communicate with them after you take the test and it doesn't say on the website anywhere. If anyone knows please post, thanks!

No. AACN does not contact your employer regarding your exam results.

When you pass, and with every recertification, you will receive a letter for your employer, a wallet card and a certificate.

Thank you for that information! I was too embarrassed to ask my co-workers who have already taken the exam bc I'm sure they would think its weird that I'm asking about it before I even qualify for taking the exam (I've only been in critical care for a few months).

(1) Why would they? CCRN is not a requirement to be a critical care RN

(2) How would your employer even know you're taking it in the first place?

Hi, well to answer #2, I figured when AACN is checking to see if you have critical care experience they email your employer and say: ____ is applying to test for CCRN, can you verify they work in critical care? - so thus your employer would know you are testing.

And #1, well I am weird and have moments where I sit around and think of random irrational worries. This was one of those moments! :)

AACN does not verify everyone - only those they randomly audit.
