I am excited. I was accepted into the ADN program at ITT this week. I start in the middle of September. Despite all of the negative feedback about the school, I will decide for myself and make the best out of my situation. Anyone else atteneding ITT this fall for the Registered Nursing Program?

Hi when you took your hesi exam was the math portion all stories problems like the book

tdabney427, I do not believe they are seeking NLNAC/CCNE accreditation. After speaking with nurses (RN & BSN) at the hospital I work at, they said you will be able to find employment as an RN, but if you want to go further you will have to take most of the classes over. When I was looking into starting at ITT I checked on universities to transfer to for my BSN and Sienna Heights was pretty much the only one that took some of ITT's credits. If you are still looking for an accredited program, I have been accepted into Davenport's Warren Campus for their LPN program for the fall of 2014. They also have a BSN program, but I need to start working as a nurse asap so that will be my next step.

terry313, no they were not all story problems. I took my HESI at HFCC and had the results transferred to ITT (I think it was $15).

Specializes in Emergency.

I'm currently a student at ITT-Canton Breckenridge SON. This program is extremely disorganized. But the problem is, so are a lot of the nursing programs out there. I think if I could have gone to another community college, I would have. As it is right now, I have contacted about 6 of the universities in the area and they will not take ITT credits, but they will accept your RN as credit. The problem is that you still need to have the pre-reqs at these universities, so you will end up taking these classes over unless you took them elsewhere. That's more time in school bc it is at least a year in classes. They integrate the pre-reqs into the program at ITT, so you will save a bundle if you transfer them in. Buyer beware, they will not let you transfer anything in after you start the program so make sure you get that done first.

How is the program going for you so far? I am thinking of starting next year. It seems like all the other nursing programs have such a long waiting list. I heard negative things but I think it's because the program is so new to ITT..

Good luck..how is it going so far?

How did you like the program?

Im in my first quarter of school at Breckenridge and so far so good. I know several ppl who have graduated from there and went on to find nursing jobs shortly afterwards. Several classes took at OCC transferred so it took my tuition down tremendously. Workload is heavy for nursing fundamental courses so i have went part time at work to dedicate more time to studying.

Hey Donna!!! It's Steph!! PDot is that you??

Hi , thanks for the info, i was told im goingbto get a call back at the end of January, but i wasnt supposed to get called untill may?. She told me to have my stuff together because ppl are messing up,, i was like ok,wow so ive been taking practice test of the hesi online,, do you have any other suggestions?. Im so excited n nervous

The hesi isnt bad just refresh yourself on math. Also the curriculum is a tad bit fast paced so be prepared to change work schedules, have babysitter, etc etc. Try to stay ahead, and always go with your first mind when testing. Good luck!

How was your overall experience? Were any of the classes available online?
