I have been accepted into SC4's nursing program and am sooooo excited.!!! Anyone else apply to SC4? I would love to hear from any current or past nursing students, as well. How is the program? Got any tips for me? I would appreciate any advice you've got to give.

Congratulations!!! If you don't mind can I ask how your GPA was and the testing that you did? Thanks...I was looking at SC4 in winter and thinking about it if I don't get accepted at the other two schools.

SC4 calculates

1. GPA-25% (only the pre-req classes)

2. pre-req credits that you have done-25%

3. Hesi-50%

I applied with a 3.97, all but one class done, and a 90 on my HESI.

I heard that around 500 applied, but that wasn't verifed by anyone. SC4 is supposed to have a really good nursing program, from what I'm told by some of my friends that already work in a hospital. They've said that SC4 nursing graduates are very prepared when they graduate, and I know there NCLEX pass rate is very high.

What other schools were you looking at?

Good Luck with whatever you decied to do, and I hope that you too will get your acceptance letter!

HI! I was wondering how the program is for you? I am patiently waiting to see if I get accepted. I should know within the next week. I know it may seem strange, but can you answer your question? Those are similar ones that I have!:redpinkhe

Hi Kelly,

I was surprised to see someone else from SC4 on here. I still check allnurses regularly, as I find it very informative even while in the program.

Anyways, I am now in my second semester and things are going really well. I'm not going to lie first semester was extremely tough and time-consuming. There were many times that I felt like giving up, but am now glad that I didn't. Because it does get better. What I mean by time-consuming is that you will eat, breathe and sleep nursing school. That is literally all that I did for 16 weeks, is read and study. We had so much information thrown at us in such a short time. It really was tough, but like I said it does get better. I don't want to scare you, but prepare yourself for that.

Now in second semester, I feel like I must be doing something wrong, because I have way too much free time. Not that I don't study, because I do, but I definitely have more time to do other things as well. First semester we had five classes and 2 days of clinicals, whereas this semester we only have 2 classes (on the same day and if you have all of your prereq's done) and 2 days of clinicals. It is much more relaxed. I would actually say that I look forward to going to school and clinicals instead of dreading it like last semester.

Anyways, my point is is that it gets better, so when you feel like giving up just keep pushing yourself. I'm so glad that I did. And it really does go by fast. I can't believe that I'm almost half way done to becoming an RN.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask, like I said I do check-in regularly.

Good luck, I hope you get your acceptance letter soon. Please keep me posted on your acceptance, I know how anxious you must be.

I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yeah:

I am so happy! You know how there is a mandatory meeting when you get your letter. Well mine is right in the middle of a vacation I already paid for!!!!! AGhhhhhh..But what do you do...I will be at that meeting! If have have any questions I am coming to you! lol

I also got in to the SC4 nursing program for 2010!! Glad to finally know, it's been a long few months of waiting! I am excited also, but am soooo nervous for it all!!

CONGRATS! :clown: Yes it has been a long wait period, but absolutely worth it! What a great feeling huh!

Congrats to you both!! It is so exciting. I know how you're feeling, you probably just want to get it started. That's how I felt last year at this time. But really just enjoy your summer because it is so much work once you start (especially first semester). If you have any questions let me know, I know it's nice to be able to talk to someone who has just gone through it.

Anyways, congrats again!!!

Thank you very much!! It is very exciting!! I am so nervous. Is there any tips that you have for making things easier. Just trying to prepare myself for the program as best as possible.

Thanks again!!

Hi all,

I am going to be applying to this school for Fall 2011 and wanted to know what were the gpas that were accepted this year? I am taking AP1 over the summer and I will do He 101 in the spring. I have completed all of the other classes except for 2 that I will try and finish before the fall gets here.

Also, how was the HESI? I have taken it before and did well in all the sections except for AP because I hadn't taken it yet. Is AP on the HESI for SC4 as well?

The score that people got into the program this year was 86 and above. It all depends on what your gpa was, how many credit you have gotten done out of the 30, and what hesi score was. The conversions are on the sc4 website. I had a 87 on the hesi and a 3.97 gpa, and all but 2 classes done, which i am taking this semester. yes a & p was on the hesi. Good luck!
