    Warm the patient's hand by holding it for a minute if they are cold. Then clean and get your sample. Watch for thick calluses. The side of the finger works nicely. Pinkies and thumbs are also rarely used and usually a sure thing.

    In Indianapolis my base rate is $10.00. Another $1.25 after 2pm. Another $2 an hour on weekends. Extra pay for picking up shifts when needed - another $2.50 to $5.00 an hour extra.
