   Ashley- congrats!!! That's an awesome program. I found out too late that they were re offering the masters program for this fall and wasn't able to apply there (I would have had to retake stats).

   Got into Western today and was wait listed for UNCC. Still sticking with UNCW and looking forward to getting classes started!

   Stormy- I did accept UNCW. It'll be the best one for me anyways since my husband is trying to go to CRNA school and we'll have to move to where he goes. I have not heard from UNCC or Western!

   I got accepted to UNCW. Only catch is that they want an answer by May 5 and I doubt Western AND UNCC will have decided by then. I am leaning towards UNCW now. Several friends in that program and they really like it.

   I had my interview at Western yesterday- very nice location. Anxiously awaiting to hear ANYTHING from them, UNCC, or UNCW, esp with the option to start UNCC in May!

9. What was your last job prior to ICU?

   I was a PACU nurse for 3 years and then went to MICU. There were some similarities but for the most part I still went through a 3 month orientation. Huge difference between having a patient for 2 hours vs 12 hours!

    My MICU is locked but has open visitation for up to 2 people/no one under 12 24/7. If someone is on the verge of dying there is not a limit to the number of people allowed. We will let someone sit in the room over night but they're not allowed to sle...
