I will be taking my NET in two weeks, any advice from those who have taken it? I have to pay $45 for my test . We have to wait about 4-6 wks for results. I only have one try, if I don't do well enough I will have to wait a year, YIKES!
As far as calculators I 'm not sure, I heard we can't use them only paper, but I don't know for certain.
We'll just call this my break between the books .
Well we (B/F and myself) started our A&PI last Wed. Instructor seems good .
There were lecture notes to buy from the instructor, I think they'll be a big help. We'll know ahead of time what we will be going over in class.
We have our first quiz today not sure how many questions are on it or what form it'll be in. There were 45+ words to know :uhoh21:. All I can say is thank you God for a friend to study with, and the study/support group I have here.
Needless to say it's been a weekend of hitting the books and relying on the absolutely wonderful flash cards.
I'll be praying for us all today,
Thank you all for the great words of wisdom.
It is very reassuring to know I am not the only one who has felt this way, and to know there really is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Again thank you so much.
God bless you all.
I went to Barnes & Nobles today to take a look at my book. I couldn't believe the price $145.00 or $154.00 I cant remember I just drew a blank!!!!!! Saladin Anatomy & Physiology!!!! Where can I get this book for a cheaper price? and the Lab book cost $89.00 ....This is ridiculous
Okay I think my brain is officially on overload.
I went and picked up my spring semester books this week.
My A&P books alone were about $280 (ouch).
Of course thats one book, a study guide, lab manual, photographic manual, visual atlas, and 2 cd's. I must agree with the prev. post........my brain will soon be mush!
It's a really good thing I have a friend attending the same classes.
And we are sooooo greatful to have all of you with us! :wink2:
Congrats on your grades!!
I know they didn't come easily.
I also attended fall semester after 12 yrs.
I was amazed to have pulled off 3 A's 1 B
Now looking forward to spring semester
Best wishes to all for the upcoming classes
I worked as a cna about 8 yrs ago and really enjoyed my job, gross things aside.
I feel I can really make a differene by becoming a rn.
I know I just NEED to let go of the fears, sometimes they just get a bit overwhelming.
But I also know I really do need to work on my self disipline, although at the time it seams much easier to be a procrastinator.
Okay, I really need your help/advise PLEASE!
I am having some overwhelming fears and concerns, although I might just be being a big baby.
I have wanted to be a nurse as long as I can remember, pre-school age.
But I am now questioning my abilaty of becoming one.
I was an C avg. student in high school, I've been out of school 13 years.
My fall semester I rec'd 3 A's and 1 B, but as the classes get tougher I am not sure I'll be able to pull it off again.
I have major self-dicipline issues to overcome.
My biggest fears are clinicles.
I fear the unknown! :uhoh21:
How do I know for sure that I can do this? Will I really be able to take on the responsibilaties that is required of a being a nurse?
How do I know if my stomache can handle what I am about to commit myself to?
This question is a biggy. A few years ago it took a lot to gross me out. BUT as I get older my stomache grows WEAKER. :imbar My five year old successfully grosses me out daily!
Does anyone else have these problems?
How do you overcome them?
I am open to any advice that might help!!!!!!!!!!
Happy New Year!
May we all have a great year in '05!
Study and work hard to achive your goals.
But don't forget to live your life....Live, laugh, and love.
Don't sweat the small stuff and appreciate all the little things.
Try to make time for yourself .
I'm saying all this to myself and sharing with you all!!!!!!!!!!!!
My spring semester begins Jan. 12th. I'll be taking some more pre-reqs including
comp. literacy (required)
13 hrs. total
Hello to all!
I am relieved to have found you all.
As a mommy to 3 daughters ages 5,7,& 13 it's good to know I'm not in A&PI alone.
I've been looking at the sites posted and I think they will serve as a great help to us all! THANKYOU!!!
I have also been out of school for 13 years when I decided to go back. I have a bad case of "can't remember anything" but I'm very excited (and a bit scared) to be back.
Thankyou in advance for this great support system. I know we'll all need it.
I'll be sarting back Jan. 12th.........and the countdown begins
BEST OF LUCK TO ALL, I Look forward to celebrating with all of you in 16 weeks when we pass this challenge and go on to the next
I joined WW and went to the weekly meetings. I lost 75lbs. in about 8 mo. Personally I would STRONGLY recomend the WW program to any one who is serious about loosing weight. If your willing to try and want to make a diff. for yourself JOIN. I have since stopped going to the meetings due to finances and health problems. I have gained back some weight but thats due to depression and not caring at the time of eating. But someday SOON I will go back and enjoy being a smaller me!
There is also a web site that has lots of really cool info. It's a woman who has been through the WW program and had huge success. It's a very encouraging site! It's DWLZ.com (dotties weight loss zone) She gives lots of tips, recipes and much much more. Good luck to all. Remember to take life one day at a time!
