It really depends on the facility u work for. The Facility Administrator and your coworkers make all the difference in the out patient unit. You work with the same people for those 12 hours, and yes some of the units have 10 12 or 14 hour days. some ...
yea ok...people get tattoos for various reason....not just to get attention...dont we teach in our hospitals to our nurses to have cultural awareness and tolerance for our patients? why dont we have it for eachother?
everyone makes a big deal about them being covered with scrubs...i have a tattoo on my left lower inner arm and its never been a big deal...only one patient in my 7 years of nursing has commented negatively on it and she was a retired old skool nurse...

one thing i could suggest cause i did it myself..if u can find a cna job in a teaching hospital they are used to nursing students and how to deal with them and will help u learn as much as possible while u work...and bonus u might just slide right in...
