   I'm not a nurse so you guys tell me, I've heard rumors for years, and from actual nurses about people coming into the ED with things stuck in their various private orifices that they can't get out. Is there any truth to this? Just my morbid curious...

   At least you're going to the hospital. My brother and his wife were talked into a home birth by some quack mid-wife. No prenatal testing or anything. It would have lived if they were in the hospital. End of story.

   Hi, I'm just an EMT intermediate. As part of our training we had to spend 40 hours in the emergency room. Maybe the one I was at was just bad, but I don't see how you guys avoid burnout. It was so understaffed, the poor nurses were running, putti...
