    you should be able to feel the bulb at the end and it should be firm(like a ripe grape) but not hard. If it is soft, there is not enough air or there could be a leak. If in doubt check with the manometer

  7. I give phenergan IV probably 10 times a DAY.... I had never heard that it couldnt be given IV. We usually dilute it in 10cc NS to keep it from burning, but we give it a LOT. Our docs seem to like to give it when we give Morphine to prevent the naus...

    In our ER it depends on the time of day as to who they see first. During the daytime, volunteers sit at a greeter desk and direct people where to go. During the night, the triage nurse sees EVERYONE (visitors, lost people, homeless, patients, etc.....

  10. I would hope and pray that if someone planned on bringing a snake in to the ER, I would greatly appreciate it if they killed it first!!!! We already have one patient, is it really necessary to take the chance of having another?
