Yeah..i've posted like several threads already for different hospitals that I have applied to AND I APOLOGIZE...im just getting sick of all the job searching i've been doing.....but I talked to one of my friends yesterday and she got a call from HR that they were still looking for new grads at MGH. She gave me the number and I called them today but left a message. Anyone have information on MGH? I know it's a magnet hospital. I've actually always wanted to work at MGH. How are nurse-patient ratios??? pay??? diffs??? etc. Thanks again!

Hi lena

If you go their website at mass general they have a new grad intern program, which it states it starts in august and february. I applied to it more than a week ago and still have heard nothing. I am with you, I have applied to every hospital serveral times from newburyport to boston. I didnt expect it to be this hard to get a call for a job. Keep in touch maybe we can help each other. Where do you live?

Hi Pam :) I live in Chelsea, so pretty much right next to Boston....it's so hard finding a job around here...no one gets back to you right away. It's nice to find someone else in the same boat as me. Where do you live? Hope we both find something!

Hi Lena

I live in Middleton, its between N. Andover and Danvers. I am going out today and apply at Lawrence General and Holy Family. Maybe going in person will be more successful. I am also taking an ACLS class tomorrow and wednesday, Im hoping that will add some interest in my resume. Your very close to the boston hospitals which is convenient, as an EMT I have been to them all, I would consider doing a later shift there not a 7am. How old are you? I am 45. What departments do you want to work in? This sucks, I never thought finding a job would be so hard. Keep in touch!!!

Hi Pam :)

Yeah, I am definitely considering working evenings or nights (even weekends!) I am not a morning person!! Hahahahaha. I'm 22 and I just graduated in May and passed the boards last month. I am interested in just working med/surg right now. Since I don't know what specialty I want to go in yet, I figured med/surg was the best way to go for now and enhance my skills. Yeah I can't believe it's so difficult to find a job around here!!! What sucks too is that I don't have a car right now, and obviously can't afford one right now, so I have to limit myself in the Boston area to work for now by taking the T...:o I'm really hoping I get something at MGH....I've always wanted to work there....and still no word from them....I'll try that number again later. Hope you find something!! Also keep in touch :)
