Curry College ACCEL Class of 2015

Hello everyone! Im thinking of applying to Curry college's accelerated program this year for next years cohort. Can you guys tell me how everything in the program is going so far? what do you think helped you to get accepted? I have a copy of the schedule for each term, and the only one that really looks awful is summer, where you go to clinical three times a wee!

:) What part of "accelerated" did you not understand? There are requirements from accrediting entities for colleges to provide minimum numbers of clinical hours to their students, and summer semester can be shorter, and ... I did clinicals 3 days a week for three years (soph, jr, sr) in my 4-year BSN program.

Hello everyone,

I see many of you have made it into the Curry College ACCEL program! Congrats. I am currently applying, and quite nervous because I really want to know how good of a shot I have for getting in. I don't have straight A's, but at least half are for the prerequisites, including the chemistry requirement. I'm not sure what you thought would make-or-break your application, but I would love to hear some insight from people who have gotten in!!

One month to go, and I'm trying to keep busy with summer classes for other programs just in case!

My background for my first degree was from one of the University of CA, and in human biological sciences.. worked for a bit as an EMT, have own personal experience as a patient, and a caretaker for someone young and fighting terminal cancer.

If ANYONE who was or is currently in the program, please I'd love to hear your input. It would be quite valuable to me. Thank you so much!
