I see job positions for RNs at NIH ( National Institute of Health), Bethesda, MD and I have heard good things about that place, one of our nurses worked there briefly, but I lost contact with her since she doesn't work with us anymore and can't ask her anymore details regarding working there. Does someone of you work in that place or used to work and if so, could you tell me how do you like it there?

I'm doing a clinical rotation there and I am working as a summer IRTA scholar this coming summer. I've got a couple friends working there who've been there forever. One is a PI (principal investigator...a PhD nurse who leads studies), the other recruits for study participants but she worked in the ICU there for years. They love it. You get spoiled there because nurses are treated well and not like second class citizens like in many other hospitals. I highly recommend applying there!! I've spent a lot of time there between my rotation and shadowing with the PI friend and I've always been impressed with the scholarly atmosphere and with the friendliness of everyone there.

I too am investigating a position at NIH - an outpatient position in clinical research. Does anyone else have experience working there? From the previous post it sounds like a great place to work.
