Is this a good path to becoming a nurse?

So I was here last week, and through extensive researching and planning, I think I devised a pretty good plan. As we know from my previous posting I was going to Univ. of Phoenix for a degree in Web Design. I had only taken one class that cost me 1500 dollars, but because I got Pell grant, I will only be stuck with an odd 700 dollars out of pocket. I went in last week and canceled all loans and classes with UOPX, and applied with the local community college's. This is the plan from here on:

1. I went to West Coast University last week for an info session, and was pretty impressed with the new facility, and other accreditation's they are working on. I am set to take their HESI entrance exam in two weeks in which I will begin studying for next week. So my plan is to go here.

2. Because WCU is so expensive I plan to take 8 to all of my prereqs(as a fulltime student) at one, two, or three the local CC/JC's to cut cost @ WCU. And start at WCU this time next year.

3. I will be taking an EMT cert. program later this summer to become an EMT in the mean time. Do EMT work for 2 years to hopefully better my chances of finding work.

My question is, do you think that this is a good layout, and plan? and with me having 2 years EMT experience, do you think it will make a difference in landing a good job when I finish? On top of being very attractive, fit/muscular, and male? - Not trying to sound sexiest..but in reality some of these things come into play in any industry.

Sounds like you've got it worked out! Glad you decided to get your prereqs at a community college - there isn't anything more annoying to me than someone who talks down the idea of paying less $$$! LOL
