Nursing Students LPN-RN

Wow! Last night was our pinning and next Saturday is graduation!!! This year has gone by so fast!! Now, even though I am graduating as an LPN and am so excited for this great and long awaited achievement, I can't help but to feel like, "Oh man, I still have a another year of this stuff"!!! It's been difficult to feel relieved and accomplished when in the back of my mind, I know that I have to get back on that horse again in just six more weeks!....need some encouragement here......

Congratulations! I found that the security of having my LPN license was a big perk, plus I had 3 semesters of nursing school and the RN students I joined only had 2 at that point. You will find that this year goes by really fast also so just keep your head tucked low and your back to the wind.

Congratulations

I'm right there with you! I graduated and was pinned last night. I am so excited about finally finishing up LPN school. But then I think...uggghh, it all starts again in September! Actually though, the 15 month full time LPN program I attended flew by! My hubby even commented that when I first started school 15 months seemed so far away and that all of a sudden 15 months had come and gone.

I go back to school in September to get a couple of pre-reqs out of the way so I can apply to the bridge program. I figure I'm looking at another 15-18 months again.

In the end, it will all be worth it.

Congrats to you!

Well, thanks to each of you for your encouragment! I graduated on Saturday!!! WHOO-HOO!!!:yeah:Now, I'm desperately trying to find a job that will work w/ my schedule comming in August..I really need to work part time and get full bennefits for my family! My husband is very encouraging of me going to school and sees the end results yet, we get financially frustrated and it has been very difficult to keep our chin up at times...Wow, can I sympathize w/ those of you who commented on taking a breath again but, then having to roll your sleeves up.....ONCE AGAIN!!! I agree that these past 10 months have gone by really fast and with 8 months left, six classes total and 1-2 wks break every 4-5 wks, (I'm constantly reminding myself ), Hopefully, it will go by even faster!!! Again, thanks for the positive comments!;)

I am SO with you on this. I am exhausted. I just graduated this past Saturday from an accelerated LPN Program. It was a very tense, exhausting program. On Tuesday, I had a full day of RN bridge enrollment and orientation and yesterday I spent the day working out financial aid. Classes start on July 28th and we will graduate next May with our ADN/RN!! It'll be one heckuva ride I am sure!! I am stressed to the max, but oh so grateful I get a few weeks off in between....although I now have so much money riding on whether I pass the NCLEX PN or not. If I don't pass I am kicked from the bridge program with NO refunds....and the program I am in is well respected, but NOT cheap. Hang in there.
