Taking Micro and A&P concurrently

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Hello fellow LPN to ADN students!

Based on life and work, I have to take two classes in order to be considered for Fall 2015 LPN to RN bridge. I do not want to wait any longer to get into the program so that being said, I want to take Medical Micro and A&P 1 at the same time. I would like some general feedback regarding stress levels, (when is it NOT stressful :cat: ) course load, etc.

My current situation: I work 20 hours a week (will cut back for school if needed, the job pays enough to survive) I have NO PROBLEM sacrificing my social life for the 4 months that this will take. I am above average in sciences and have a genuine interest in learning! My only fear is how much homework/etc will overlap to the point where I can't succeed.

The reason I can't take one of the classes in the summer is because I am getting married in July and my summer school will go until the first week in August.

Thanks in advance for the opinions and advice!

I honestly think it's a bad idea. You have to have solid As in these classes. They are killers. I wouldn't do this even if you didn't have to work.

I'm taking A&P 2 and micro right now. Keep in mind I don't work, but I think it's doable. If you are good in science classes, you should be fine. A few hours a day of study time is sufficient, I think :) good luck!

sounds like you have alot going on. do you plan on taking the classes online our on campus?
