PBSC Nursing Transition Help!!!

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hi everyone, I'm an LPN going for the transition at Palm Beach State College. I haven't had any luck finding stories about transition students at this school. If there is anyone out there who did the transition can you please tell me about your experience from testing to getting the acceptance letter?

About me: I've been working as an LPN for a year, I took the Hesi math and NACE1 and passed. The nursing program specialist added me to semester 2 Full-Time for fall 2017.

**I just want to know the process you went through before getting accepted in the program.

Thanks!

I did not get your pm. I did get all of my pre reqs done. I just have to pass the ACE

If I took pharmacology at Broward college, do I have to take it at PBSC? Also do I have to wait to take the intro to professional nursing until the info session?

That's fine, You need to email Mrs Rhonda Boles >> [email protected]

You may be able to get the pharmacology course from BC exempt but you have to fill out a credit transfer sheet after sending in your transcripts and applying to the school. I would recommend you get in tough with her as soon as possible. You have to also talk to her to schedule you for the ACE exam. Intro to professional nursing isn't open yet but I'm sure you can sign up when it is. Do you mind me asking what happened with Broward College ?

Thanks for the info. At Broward College I had lost my brother so things were rough for me. I waited too late to return so I would have to do LPN before coming back to RN. To me, that's a waste so I just have to move on. I completed the first half of the first semester at Bro College though.

No problem. I'm sorry you lost your brother. I also went to Broward College but things didn't work out. Do you know anyone who has been through this program at Pbsc? There's only 30 spots and she already had over 20 when I went to the orientation.

I don't know anyone. Wow only 30 spots and over 20 people! I wonder if I'm too late.

Maybe I should take the lpn route as a last resort.

I don't know if you are too late but what do you mean take the lpn route, you were planning on going into the generic program?

My two choices are the transition at PBSC or lpn program at atlantic tech then go back to broward

Are you a paramedic?

Yes I am a Paramedic. How about you? You're doing transitional right?

You have either choice I would go to Pbsc but it's up to you. Did you you get in touch with Mrs Rhonda?
