Has anyone applied to this years lvn to rn program in Lemoore?

Specializes in ER/Geriatrics/Med-Surg/Ortho.

I'm not sure, maybe we will just be in a skills lab? I could really use brushing up on some skills that I haven't used since lvn school like venipuncture and ng tubes ands stuff :/

I have no idea either if we start clinicals right away. Hopefully they let us know that stuff at the orientation, it would be nice to know what we're walking into!

yea, same here with the skills practice, i have been watching the videos on them but its just not the same as doing it hands on.

during orientation they mentioned something about fingerprinting, are we supposed to get that and if so how? i did the online background check but it said nothing about finger prints.

I remember them mentioning we had to have fingerprinting, but I assumed it came along with the background check. I'm a bit confused with this part of the process :/

Yeah they did say livescan. I don't see why would need to though we were already fingerprinted for our LVN licenses.

Can someone tell me ... the lenght of the program at leemore?? if i can get all the gen eds?pre reqs done before applying how ,ong will the core program at leemore be?

The program for a traditional RN student is 4 semester long with no school during summer. From the way I understand the program is currently going for an LVN to RN route is 3 semesters long with no summer session and the LVN's joining during the 2nd semester. The staff at the school is inviting to questions and would be willing to meet with you if you have any other questions or concerns. I will say the entrance to the program is very competitive.

My understanding is we jump into the 3rd semester. Lvns start in june and do a 2 mth bridge class and then start in aug with the rn students in the 3rd sem. It is a 10 mth pgm.
