HI I am interest in going through College Network which is also affiliated with Indiana State University. I am currently and LPN and when I am finished I will have my RN, BSN. Has anyone heard anything on this program or is in the program. What are your thoughts and feelings. I need to make a decision ASAP. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Angelia:confused:

There are many threads on college network and/or distance learning on this board. Just so you know,College Network is a publishing company only, they have no actual affiliation with Excelsior college or Indiana State University. College Network only supplies you with study guides for CLEP and other tests. You will still have to pay for each test as well as admission and other charges for the college you utilize. Do a search and you will see a lot of info on college network. They charge a large sum of money for study guides when you can get study materials for free from yahoo and other sources. Hope this helps.

This is something I have done some serious research on. As a matter of fact I was sitting here going over the pre wrecks a few minutes ago. One thing that you need to know is that there is more pre wrecks than you think. On the brochure it shows a total of I think 8 or something like that. But in all reality it's more like 20-25, when you get down to it. I have 45 hours and still I am lacking 11 classes. You can do all those at a local community college or use the college network to clep out of thoses classes. The phase two consist of 4 nursing courses that you must clep out of by way of college network. The cost for these are $2400. I am not sure of the time you apply to ISU, I thought it was when you were ready for phase 3 but for some reason Im thinking now it's during phase 2. There are 5 course that require clinicals for a total of 450 hours. These are completed with a preceptor in your area. I checked with the Indiana Board of Nurses and the NLN both are in good standing. I hope this helps, I am still pondering which program I will go to. I had every intention of going through EC but I am scared stiff of the CPNE.But I am also worried about finding a preceptor with ISU.:)
